UNIROB Denesting Unit

R. Weiss relies on a new development for the perfect function sequence when processing plastic trays and blisters. The UNIROB denester optimizes your production by fully automatic denesting of trays and blisters. A special feature is the integrated robot collaboration, in which two built-in 6-axis robots work hand in hand and ensure high system availability and process reliability through their precise processing of trays and blisters.

The highly efficient UNIROB denester was designed on the basis of the modular standard construction and offers a maximum of flexibility with regard to different tray formats and shapes. Two 6-axis robots are installed in the denester cell, which are equipped with an innovative, fully automatic multi-robot tooling. Via two magazines mounted outside the cell, which are filled manually, the operating personnel provides the system with the appropriate packaging materials. In the centre of the cell is the key technology and heart of the newly developed destacker, in which the robots work in collaboration with each other by means of hand-shake. The robots simultaneously suck a set of trays and sleeves from the magazines. Using a special device, the sleeves are unfolded by one robot so that the second robot can push the tray through. The trays are then transported in the correct orientation via a conveyor belt to the filling area.

The integrated 6-axis robots are equipped with an innovative, fully automatic robot tool that can be changed for different formats at the push of a button, reducing set-up time to a minimum. Furthermore, the tray magazine can be quickly changed over to all common tray sizes and shapes with just a few hand movements. The processing capacity of the destacker ranges from rectangular or square shapes of various formats to round shapes. Depending on the format, up to 110 trays per minute can be processed.
